Marcelle and Laurel McAdoo preparing for their interview with Randy and Tred. During this photo, Marcelle told Tred that he wants to do "his" job. Watch out Tred!

Christopher Titolo with his "official" check presentation.

Randy, Christopher Titolo, Sue Titolo, Jill Arnold (President of Guilderland Youth Lacrosse), and Tred. Christopher is a 5th grader at Pine Bush Elementary. Last fall he started getting headaches. An MRI showed a large tumor causing fluid to backup on his brain. After a month in PICU at Albany Med, Chris was able to rehab after his surgery and receive life-saving treatment.
  •
Today Chris presented a check for $1658 to the Children's Hospital! A very happy Randy McCarten generously accepted the donation!
  •
Kelly O'Brien was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Leukemia in December of 2010. After rounds of chemo, her cancer went into remission in June of 2011. Through all of this, Kelly had the goal of attending her Prom! Today, she has plans to study at Sienna.

This is a MEDIKIN. It's a doll that is used to help ease a child's fear and help them understand the surgical procedure they are about to receive.
  •
    Christopher Titolo.
  •
As you can see, the doll opens up with many compartments that can be used as a hands-on teaching aid - that the child can touch and feel.
  •
Jill Arnold (President of Guilderland Youth Lacrosse)
  •
Randy gets a walkthru on the functions of the doll with an example procedure being performed.
  •
    The MEDIKIN doll costs $1,600.

Meet Danielle DeAngelis, a former Children's Hospital patient. Now "grown up," Danielle is a mother of two who works in the medical field. It was because of the treatment she had at Albany Medical Center as a child that she was able to enjoy ice cream, life, and share the gift with others.
  •
Sydney Reichert, straps on the special vest used to help treat Cystic Fibrosis. Tred and Randy also strapped in to experience the procedure that physically "shakes" their chest to break up mucus. The average price for one of these vests is $14,000!
  •
Sydney flips the switch so that Tred can "feel" the vests effects. As Tred describes, "I can feel the vest pushing the air out of my lungs!"
  •
"Traffic Tred" urges you to call and make your donation now!
  •
Ariel Gilbert with students from Berlin Middle School share their fundraising story with Tred and Randy. Over the past 4 years, the Berlin Middle School students have raised over $5,000 for the Children's Hospital. You can learn more about their program by emailing: agilbert@berlincentral.org

Sammy, Tred's co-host, is a former patient at age 9. She was treated for non-Hodgekins Lymphoma, when doctors discovered a tumor at the base of her skull. Sammy has been in remission for 4-years-and five-months! Sammy is now 14 years old - and a very active freshman at Shen!
