Police: Weapon was Garden Tool

Just after midnight on Father’s Day, a Saratoga Springs man went after another man and swung a garden tool, beating another man. Steven Prevendoski, 22, is charged with assault, burglary and grand larceny, among other charges.

The Sheriff's Office said it took them several hours but they tracked down Prevendoski after he broke into a home in Milton. Investigators say he then used the handle of the tool to smack cars in the driveway and took off. That was around 12:27 a.m. on June 16.

Around 2:31 a.m., he returned and started breaking windows and then stole a pickup truck, the Sheriff’s Office reports. He also stole a pickup truck from a home on Margaret Drive, they said.

Prevendoski was tracked by a K9 unit and investigators say there was an order of protection that was supposed to stop Prevendoski from going to the home he busted up on Burning Pines Drive. Prevondoski was sent to the Saratoga County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash.
