An inmate at Green Meadows in Washington County is accused of stabbing a correction officer twice yesterday. The inmate, who has not been identified, is said to be serving a life sentence on a murder conviction. A report from the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association claims the inmate handcrafted a "pick" and stabbed the guard in the head and lower torso.
